🧭 Commander’s Corner – New Fiscal Year, New Momentum

As we step into a brand-new fiscal year at Boone County VFW Post 280, I want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you—members, Auxiliary, volunteers, and supporters—for your dedication and passion in honoring our veterans and strengthening our community.

This year, we’re not just continuing our legacy… we’re amplifying it. From Buddy Poppy outreach and community events to new sponsorships and support initiatives, Post 280 is positioned to grow in both impact and visibility.

I’m especially proud of the creativity and commitment our team has shown as we plan for upcoming activities—including a major event that could bring national attention to our efforts. I can’t say too much just yet, but let’s just say you’ll want to be at our next meeting. Some exciting news is on the horizon, and you’ll be the first to hear it.

Thank you for being part of a mission that truly matters. Here’s to a year of service, pride, and forward momentum—together.

Yours in service,
