Building Strong Families – January 2026 Edition

Message from Mike Wilson

Happy New Year! As we begin 2026, I want to thank my VFW comrades, Auxiliary sisters, brothers, and patriots for your continued support of veterans, families and the VFW National Home.

The start of a new year is always a good time to look ahead. We’re already busy planning for the months to come and sharing ways for you to stay connected with the National Home. Everything we do is made possible because of your dedication and generosity.

Whether you support us through service, volunteering, or giving, it truly makes a difference for the families who live here. We’re grateful to be part of such a strong VFW family and appreciate all you do, year after year.

We look forward to sharing updates with you throughout 2026. From all of us at the National Home, we wish you a healthy and happy new year.

Thank you for your continued support.

How Your Post or Auxiliary Can Get Involved

  • Educate your members and community: Share information about the National Home in newsletters, social media, and local events.
  • Promote programs: Let families in your community know about eligibility for housing, educational support, and career-training programs.
  • Encourage Life Memberships: Life or Associate Life Memberships in the National Home helps grow a committed support network.
  • Provide financial support to fund our programs

The National Home is here to support the families of actively serving military personnel, veterans, and relatives of VFW and VFW Auxiliary members. Whether it's one parent or both, with one child or many, we are ready to welcome and assist those who have given so much for our country.

If you know a family who could benefit from our services, we encourage you to reach out and let them know—we’re here to help. Please direct them to our website to learn more and get in touch with us. Together, we can make a difference in their lives.
